Nagas are multi-headed snake people from Indian legends. Who are Nagas or what is the Bible silent about? Nagas - mythology

We may not be the first intelligent people on planet Earth. There were civilizations before us. Myths and epics different cultures with marvelous unanimity they draw the appearance of creatures that are unlike humans or similar - but only half. For example, on the top half. And if below the waist this creature resembles a snake, in front of you is a naga. A representative of a wise and dangerous race of snake people.

When drawing a snake, do not draw its legs, even for beauty.

Korean proverb

Snake tongue

Word "naga" comes from Sanskrit, an ancient language, echoes of which can be found in many modern ones, including Russian. This word is polysemantic and denotes both a semi-divine creature capable of taking the form of a snake, a human or the intermediate form of a snake-man, and just a snake, but not just any one, but with a hood - for example, a king cobra. "Nag" or "naga" is the name given to a male being, and the female form should be "nagi" or "nagini". The Russian language, of course, could not tolerate such disgrace with endings, which is why the man of the snake people began to be called “nag”, the woman - “naga”, “naginya” or “nagini”, and “nagi” became the designation plural.

The sonorous word “nagini” came to us as an echo through the medium of the English language. Nag and Nagaina - that's their name married couple cobras in the translation of the story “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi” by Rudyard Kipling. Translators named Voldemort's huge snake in JK Rowling's series of books about Harry Potter. Well, beautiful name own, but let the snake woman be better called “naginya”, after all, it is closer to the Sanskrit source.

By the way, there is a tempting hypothesis for cryptohistorians that Sanskrit itself is the language of the Nagas, which wise snakes taught to the Aryans who came to India. In the name of its alphabet “Devanagari” the root “naga” is clearly readable; “Deva-naga-ri” is decomposed into meanings as “divine naga language”. In Devanagari, unlike other alphabets, there is not a single dental sound, but to pronounce some sounds a long tongue is required - longer than a human one and possibly forked at the end. Sanskrit has a lot of aspirated sounds with exhalation through the nose. All this paints a different portrait from a human speaker of a native speaker - with snake fangs, no other teeth in the mouth, with inactive lips, but a long and forked snake tongue. There are yoga exercises that help lengthen the tongue, and in some places in India people still trim the base of the tongue. For what? Perhaps these are echoes of ancient customs designed to help a person master the alien speech in which the teachers of the ancient race spoke.

And it is not for nothing that wisdom is considered one of the traditional qualities of a snake - perhaps this is the memory of the snake people who instructed foolish humanity at the dawn of time.

Where does a snake's tail come from?

Buddha has a nice umbrella!

Most people know about Nagas in India and its environs. Nagas are mentioned in many episodes of the epic “Mahabharata”, and they appear both as positive characters, and as negative ones, and as completely neutral ones. The king of birds, the giant eagle (or eagle-man) Garuda was at enmity with the nagas. The history of enmity began with close kinship: the sage Kashyapa promised his two wives the fulfillment of their desires, and Kadru wished for herself a thousand strong snake sons, and Vinata became the mother of Garuda. The women argued, Vinata lost the argument, and Garuda was forced to serve the snakes. To be freed from service, he promised to bring amrita, the drink of immortality, to the nagas. Having brought a vessel with amrita, Garuda placed it on the grass, and the god Indra immediately took it away - but a few drops of amrita spilled. In their attempts to lick at least these drops, the nagas cut their tongues on the grass, and since then their tongues have been forked. All of them did not become immortal, but gained the ability to shed their skin and renew themselves. And Garuda, in retaliation for his days of service, became the eternal enemy of the naga snakes.

The highly positive image of the Naga is depicted in countless frescoes and temple sculptures in all Asian countries where Hinduism and Buddhism were practiced. When Prince Gautama meditated under the Bodhi tree (species Ficus religiosa), achieved enlightenment and became the Buddha, a storm broke out and it rained for seven whole days. The king of the nagas Mucalinda unfolded his snake hood over the head of the Buddha and protected him from the weather, and when the storm ended, Mucalinda took on his human form, bowed to the Buddha and returned to his underground palace. There are a great many statues of Buddha with a naked figure protecting his peace. A naga can have from one to nine heads, the number is always odd. Not all nagas are capable of magically turning into humans, only the most advanced ones. Whether this transformation is true or whether the audience is hypnotized is an idle question from the point of view of Eastern religions and philosophies due to the general illusory nature of existence.

Odd heads are male, even heads are female.

Nagas are often associated with water.

The thousand-headed serpent, the king of the nagas Ananta-Shesha (endless Shesha), swims in the waters of the cosmic ocean, and the god Vishnu reclines on the rings of his serpentine body. When kalpas change and the world is destroyed, Shesha remains unchanged. The image of the ancient Indian world serpent is similar to the ancient Egyptian Mehenta, the ancient Ouroboros, biting its own tail, and the Scandinavian Jormungandr, entwining the earth. The snake's rings symbolize the endless cyclical rebirth of the world.

In India, Nagas are considered the guardians of rivers and other bodies of water. They are believed to cause rain, which means they contribute to the fertility of the earth - but they can also cause floods and deluges. Thus, nagas have a dual nature, but they are neutral towards people and respond with evil only to human evil. Nagas guard treasures and treasures. There are tribes that consider themselves descendants of the Nagas, and in the names of these tribes, as well as localities, the root “Naga” clearly sounds. Rituals and holidays are held in honor of the Nagas - for example, the Indian holiday Naga Panchami.

In Buddhism, nagas are believed to live directly under the base of the divine Mount Meru. By the way, when the gods and demons initially mined amrita, the king of the nagas Vasuki wrapped himself around Mount Meru, and the higher beings dragged the snake by the head and tail for a whole hundred years - churning the primordial ocean.

Sacred wall of the Nagas in Belur (South India).

There are nagas that live on land or underground, but most often they are associated with aquatic environments - both rivers and the sea. According to Cambodian legend, the Nagas are a race of reptiles whose large state was located somewhere in the Pacific region. The daughter of the Naga king married an Indian Brahman, and from their union came the Cambodians. To this day they call themselves born of the Nagas. On the bas-reliefs of the famous Angkor temple complex there are many images of nagas.

From the point of view of Hinduism, nagas inhabit the seventh of the underworlds, which is called Patala, or Nagaloka. This place surpasses even Indra's heavenly world in beauty. Patala sparkles with gold and precious stones, in the middle of the capital stands the palace of the naga king Vasuki, completely adorned with jewels, and all the inhabitants of this world wear the rarest jewels on their heads. gems, illuminating both his native Nagaloka and the rest of the underground worlds - because there is no sunlight there. The Nagamani stone, worn by King Vasuki himself, cures all diseases. It’s strange, the passion of the nagas from Patala for gold and gems is suspiciously reminiscent of dragon habits...

This is interesting: Among all living creatures, snakes are most often two-headed, and they are quite viable. The main thing for two heads of one snake is not to attack each other and not to fight for prey. Sometimes two heads have one stomach between them, but sometimes each has its own. Why not Zmey Gorynych?

Serpent or dragon?

How cute...

Modern man learns to classify from childhood and will not confuse a cat with a dog. What about a dragon and a nag? Let's clarify this issue.

So, nagas are able to take on human form and the form of a serpent, often multi-headed. Their true appearance is something between the two named extremes: the lower half of the naked body is snakelike, the upper half is human. Serpentoids are apparently similar in size to humans. This is in general terms, and then discrepancies begin. By different sources, the number of hands among nagas varies - from three pairs to none. Well, given their Indian roots, multi-armedness is not surprising; in those parts, everyone is multi-armed - gods, demons, and statues. Sometimes nagas, in addition to their hands, also get a pair of wings.

The sea nagas are overgrown with membranes and fins here and there—for convenience, I suppose. And only their tails are invariably snake-like, nothing like the fish tail of the siren-mermaids. As for faces, ancient sources especially emphasize the beauty of naginas who became the wives of people. But beauty, as you know, is an individual concept. Surely serpentoids have a different skull structure. Their eyes, nose, mouth should also be different from human ones. It can be assumed that female Naga faces are closer to human ones, and the faces of Naga men are rougher and more like the faces of lizards... or is it dragons?

It is not the biblical Adam who flatly refuses the apple that the serpent is trying to sell him, but quite the opposite - Hercules fights with Ladon to get the fruit.

The uraeus on the forehead of Tutankhamun’s mask is an image of the cobra goddess, the patroness of Lower Egypt.

Even the similarity of reptilian facial features and snake tails does not negate the main thing: the fundamentally different structure of the body and limbs. Nagas in their true form are legless, and the dragon has paws - usually four, rarely two (for wyverns). Even the Chinese “long” dragons, which are distinguished by their long and snake-like flexible body, have paws. And yet there are specimens that can completely confuse the classifier - for example, the ancient Greek dragon Ladon, who guarded the golden apples of the Hesperides and was defeated by Hercules.

What to do in doubtful cases? Deal with each instance separately. For example, try to look into his mouth to check the structure of his teeth. If a specimen, angered by such familiarity, breathes fire, it means a dragon, and if it spits poison, it’s most likely a snake. Maybe that is why in ancient times they preferred to classify by the tail, and not by the teeth...

This is interesting: Koschey the Immortal from Russian fairy tales held his death in an egg. Most likely, it was not a bird's egg, but a snake's. The prototype of Koshchei was the mythological Serpent, the keeper of the World Egg. When the hero kills the Serpent, the end of the primordial chaos comes and the world unfolds from the egg, a new order of things comes. As an example, we can recall how the Mesopotamian god Marduk defeated the snake goddess Tiamat and created the world from her dissected body.

Older than man

In addition to the extensive evidence of nagas, which are replete with the mythology and toponymy of India, there are descriptions and images of similar creatures in other cultures and civilizations.

The Chinese goddess Nuwa and her brother-husband Fu Xi are depicted with the head and arms of a man and the body of a snake. Nuwa created people and saved the earth from the flood, Fu Xi's merits are more modest - he only taught people to fish, tame animals and cook food on fire, invented music, writing and measuring instruments. Once again, snake people act as mentors to young humanity.

The ancient Greek Typhon, the most powerful of the children of Gaia (Earth), had a human upper body, but his arms ended in many snakes, and below the waist he also had giant snakes instead of limbs. Typhon breathed out flames and was barely defeated only by Zeus himself. His wife was Echidna, a half-maiden, half-snake with a beautiful face and an evil disposition.

Python, which was worshiped by the Pythia of the Delphic Oracle, is considered either a serpent or a serpentine dragon. According to one version, he is also called the son of Gaia-Earth, from which we can conclude that the ancient Greeks dealt with a land variety of nagas. Kekrops, the son of Gaia and the first king of Attica, had a snake body instead of legs. His daughters were given to raise Etikhthonius, the future king of Athens, also born of Gaia and also a serpent-tailed one.

God Kukulkan, in whose honor the Mayans built the pyramids.

Am I the cutest, the most beautiful, the greenest in the world?

It is not clear whether the gorgon sisters Medusa, Euryale and Stheno, with poisonous snakes instead of hair and eyes that turn to stone, should be classified as a race of snake people. Other features of their appearance include wings, characteristic snake fangs, and scaly snake skin. Poisonous breath and a deadly gaze are also characteristic of nagas, and “gorgon” is just a nickname that means “terrible.”

Evidence of contact with the serpentoids was left to us by the pre-Columbian civilizations of America. In classical Mayan art, Heaven is depicted as a two-headed snake with stars painted on its body. The goddess Ish-Chel, wife supreme god Mayan pantheon, snakes in hair. One of the main gods of the Aztec pantheon is Quetzalcoatl, Feathered Serpent. He created people, and then, as usual, he also served as a mentor - he gave them maize, taught them to monitor the movement of the stars, process precious stones, cure diseases, smelt metal and create mosaics from feathers. Cihuacoatl (snake woman) is the goddess of earth, war and childbirth, the patroness of women who died during their first birth. And the goddess of corn, instead of a human head, has seven snakes growing from her neck, and her name is Chicomecoatl, which means “seven-headed snake.”

This is interesting:“The Snake” is the name of the 2009 novel by Andrzej Sapkowski, famous for the saga of the witcher Geralt. The hero of “The Snake,” a Soviet officer and Pole by birth, during the war in Afghanistan meets a snake with golden scales and golden eyes, and the meeting changes his whole life.

The same, but with weapons

It is interesting that the nagas of ancient times were not at all warlike. For all their abilities, they only defend themselves and do not attack, and generally prefer to act with words, persuasion, and, in extreme cases, hypnosis. They are sages, magicians and scribes, keepers of knowledge, and not at all brutal fighters. Perhaps the nagas simply spared their younger human brothers and treated them like children. An adult will not seriously fight with a child whom he himself taught everything! Well, maybe he will punish you for breaking the rules, to further assimilate the world order.

Having moved to virtual worlds, the nagas clearly realized that humanity would not leave them alone and it was time to take up arms. Of course, they immediately showed themselves to be excellent warriors.

The naga from HoMM 6 has horns on his head, which is typical of Japanese snakes.

The turn-based strategy series Heroes of Might and Magic introduced the gaming world to a great variety of creatures. The nagas are also lucky. True, for some reason only nagini were recruited to serve in the castle. In HoMM 3 they were listed in the troops of the sixth level of the Tower. Strong attack good protection, although slow in movement, nagas, and especially their improved and faster version, the naga queens, have proven themselves to be excellent fighters. In addition, enemies do not return the blow to them. Nagas from HoMM 4, third-level troops in the Academy, have this same lucky ability. They are physically strong and relatively fast, so nagas are fighters you can rely on. It is completely unclear where and why they disappeared in the fifth part! Even among neutral creatures there are none.

Maybe the naginas got tired of fighting alone and went after the men? Because in the long-awaited, soon-to-be sixth part, naked men will finally appear. Ordinary - with two arms, advanced - with four, these are the most powerful of the deep sea nagas, masters of deadly fighting style"Four Waves" They will fight for the Sanctuary. The style of their appearance has noticeably shifted towards the samurai. What about the beautiful ladies of the race of aquatic serpentoids? Coral and pearl maidens are not only snaketails, but also snakehair, but they have only two arms. As a result, the naginis of HoMM 6 are more reminiscent not of their predecessors from the third and fourth games, but of the neutral jellyfish from HoMM 2. The nunties were good! They fixed a gaze on the enemy, in which they read a 20% chance of petrification.

In the world of role-playing games Dungeons & Dragons, nagas were among the first to appear. To date, there are four main races of nagas known - dark nagas, guardian nagas, spiritual nagas and water nagas. Nagas appear as snake-like creatures with heads more or less human-like, and are approximately as tall as tall man- but can rise even higher on a strong snake tail. This makes an impression both in battle and in civilian life. Each race has its own specific spells and magical abilities. Externally, nagas of different races differ in the type and color of their scales. Particularly noteworthy are the bone nagas - these are the living dead from among the serpentoids. The nagas from Shinomen Forest have a completely human torso and a snake tail. There is also a scary naga-hydra hybrid, the five-headed naga-hydra.

According to the legends of the Forgotten Realms, the nagas were created by a race of reptilian creators. Among other races, they also created the yuan-ti, magical methods by crossing humans with reptiles. Unlike the naga, who can lean towards good and evil, towards chaos and order, the yuan-ti are extremely unpleasant types, all in one. They are divided into three main castes or breeds. Purebloods look almost like people, only a few features give them away as strangers - a forked tongue, slanted eyes, a spot of snake scales on the skin. In half-breeds, the snake nature appears more strongly; they have snake tails instead of legs, snake skin all over their bodies, and a hood like a cobra. The terrible (or disgusting, English abomination) yuan-ti look like giant snakes with a human head or hands. This is the highest ranking caste in their society. The Yuan-ti worship the serpent deity Sseth. An essential detail of their biology is that yuan-ti lay eggs. Yuan-ti play a significant role in DnD-based games such as Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale and Icewind Dale II, Baldur's Gate II.

Nagas are the masters of the seas of WoW.

Inhabitants of Runes of Magic.

A powerful race of nagas lives in the world of Warcraft. Their origin is tied to careless handling of magic. Once upon a time there were night elves under the control of Queen Azshara, and among them were the so-called Highborne, who carried out dangerous experiments with magical powers Well of Eternity. When the well exploded and tore apart all of Kalimdor, Queen Azshara and her entourage found themselves at the bottom of the sea and turned into evil and terrible snake-like nagas.

Some of them remained from the night elves, but to the elven features were added such cute details of appearance as snake tails, poisonous fangs, many arms, tentacles, sharp ridges and fins, poisonous snakes instead of hair. Matriarchy reigns in society, men of underwater nagas perform only subordinate functions, and women practice magic. Naga men are strong, stupid, and have reptilian faces. They may command small military units, but the army is always led by a woman. Nagini mostly retained the elven beauty of their faces and sharp minds. Nagas are a cruel, vengeful race, and the only thing that unites them is the desire to take revenge on their former relatives, the innocent night elves.

“From the fiery snake venom, the house on the platform immediately burst into flames and... collapsed, as if felled by lightning.”

From "Mahabharata"

Nagas are creatures Hindu mythology. They are mentioned in the Mahabharata, Jataka and many canonical texts. Analyzing them, we can note the special importance of these creatures in the mythology of Hinduism of the pre-Aryan period. Interestingly, nagas will later be included in the pantheon of Buddhist deities.

Nagas are half human and half. They have a snake body and a human head. Sometimes there were nagas with several heads. Instead of hair, there were also kublas of snakes hanging down.

Nagas were characterized by snake tongues, forked at the ends. This is the legend about how the nagas became immortal. They tried amrita (that was the name of the herb in Hindu mythology, from which the drink of immortality was made) and became immortal. Apparently, the nagas did not drink the prepared drink, but licked the drops from the stems, which injured their tongues.

There were nagas different types. Most often they lived in bodies of water, others lived on land, and some more in rocks. During rainy periods they stayed in fields flooded with water, and during dry periods they had to move to rivers and ponds. When the rains started, people spent special rituals, so that it would be easier for nagas to move to inland bodies of water. It was believed that such ceremonies would provide people with fertility in the fields.

The Naga people had the ability to turn into people. There are cases when they entered into love relationship with a person of any gender. It is also known that nagas could live for a long time in the form of a human among people, sometimes they even started families with them. Naga women became the wives of mortal rulers or famous heroes.

They were considered extremely poisonous. One naga bite is enough for... Some legends say that their breath could kill. Nagas were skilled in hypnosis, so contact with their eyes was dangerous. Having met them, he tried to look away so as not to look at the nagas in the face.

Mythical demigods possessed magical powers, often using them against people and gods. Among them were famous sorcerers who had the power to cause storms, thunderstorms and lightning, and influence all the elements of the earth.

From mythical texts we find information that among the nagas there were also their own kings, the most famous of which is the snake Shesha, who has as many as 1000 heads. Another great king naga Vasuki, served the gods as a string in churning the world's oceans. The Churning of the Ocean of Milk or Samudra Manthan (Sanskrit: समुद्र मंथन) is one of the key mythological events described in the Puranas and celebrated every 12 years during the huge Hindu festival of Kumbh Mela. (More details under the cut)

With the help of Vasuki, the gods churn the Ocean of Milk

Samudra-manthan

One day, the king of the devas, Indra, while riding an elephant, met the sage Durvasa, who presented him with a flower garland. Indra accepted the gift and hung it on the trunk of his elephant. Annoyed by the strong aroma of the garland, the elephant threw it on the ground, which greatly angered Durvasa. The sage cursed Indra and all the devas that from that moment on their strength and luck would leave them.

Soon a battle ensued between the devas and the asuras, in which the asuras, led by King Bali, gained the upper hand and took control of the entire Universe. The Devas turned for help to, who advised them to solve the problem diplomatically. The devas and asuras decided to churn the Ocean of Milk together and share the resulting nectar of immortality. , however, assured the devas that he would take measures to ensure that all the nectar fell into their hands only.

During the churning of the Ocean of Milk, Mount Mandara was used as a giant whorl and the serpent Vasuki was used as a rope. The devas held the tail, and the asuras held the head, thus rotating the mountain and churning the ocean. However, soon the mountain began to sink. He came to the rescue in the form of his second avatar, the giant turtle Kurma, who held the mountain on his back.

During the churning of the ocean (the waters of which turned first into milk and then into oil), a pot of deadly poison emerged from it, which was so toxic that it had the ability to destroy all creation. The horrified devas and asuras, on advice, went to Shiva for help. Feeling pity for them, Shiva drank all the poison and retained it in his throat, which is why it acquired color. Since then, Shiva has also been called by the name Nilakantha (“blue-throated”).

Various herbs were thrown into the Ocean of Milk, which during the churning turned into 14 treasures (ratna), which were divided between the devas and asuras: Lakshmi, Kaustubha, Parijata, Varuni, Dhanvantari, Chandra, Kamadhenu, Kalpavriksha, Airavata, Apsaras, Uchchhaishravas, Sharanga, Shankha and Amrita. Different Puranas, as well as the Ramayana and Mahabharata, give different lists of treasures received.

Finally, Dhanvantari appeared from the ocean with a pot of the heavenly nectar of immortality, amrita. A fierce battle ensued between the devas and asuras for the right to possess amrita. The devas hid the nectar from the asuras in four places on earth - Prayag, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nashik. At the same time, a drop of amrita fell in each of these places. It is believed that since then these places have mystical power and it is for this reason that the Kumbh Mela festival is held there once every twelve years.

In the end, the asuras defeated the devas and took all the amrita for themselves. The devas then again turned for help to, who took the form of Mohini - a girl of extraordinary beauty. Taking advantage of the fact that the asuras were distracted by her beauty, Mohini stole amrita from them and distributed it to the devas, who were finally able to taste the heavenly drink. One of the asuras named Rahu took the form of a deva, thus intending to drink nectar, but Surya and Chandra recognized the impostor and reported him to Mohini. Rahu began to drink amrita, but before he could swallow it, Mohini cut off his head with the help of the divine disk of Sudarshana Chakra. As a result, the head of the demon, which had already come into contact with the nectar, became immortal and turned into the planet Rahu, which, wanting to take revenge on the Sun and, sometimes swallows them, thus causing solar and lunar eclipses. It all ended with the devas, who drank amrits and gained strength, defeating the asuras.

A very interesting point is connected with the history of the emergence of nagas. The fact is that in the pre-Aryan period, the Naga people actually lived in the northern part of India. Even the territory where they lived was called “Nagadvipa”, which translated means “country of nagas”. In general, in India there are many place names indicating this word.

The Naga tribes had as their patron, this was their totem sign. Based on this, some researchers are considering the hypothesis that historical truth became the foundation for the emergence of a cycle about snake-like people - nagas.

Nag in Sanskrit means Serpent. According to ancient Indian legends, these are powerful demigods. Nagas were depicted as snake-like creatures living in water, underground and on earth. Naga- These are ancient symbols of wisdom, the founders of the cult of snakes and many holidays. According to scientists' research, nagas were once the totems of an ancient and numerous tribe, whose representatives were called nagas. The head of this tribe, the sage Nagarjuna, is depicted as a huge snake with the torso and head of a man.

According to legend, he himself Buddha preached in a Naga settlement. After the sermon sage Nagarjuna completely immersed himself in meditation and remained in this state for 17 long years, comprehending the highest intuitive wisdom, after which he plunged into the water.

It is believed that the Buddha entrusted them with the truth, and ordered them to be kept secret until humanity was ready to receive it. It is believed that nagas are not only incredibly wise, but also possess powerful spells that allow them to change their appearance and revive the dead.

In human form, they quite often live among people, and naginis, because of their incredible beauty, often become the wives of heroes and kings. From Indian sources, their idea of \u200b\u200bdivine snakes was firmly mixed with the name of the tribe that lived in the west India and called naga. Perhaps the Nagas were a tribe of the Mongoloid race who considered the snake their patron, which ultimately led to the imposition of a mythological interpretation on a real historical basis.

The largest number of various images of nagas is available in modern Thailand and they are the main object ancient Buddhist temples . It is the nagas who are considered a bridge or guides between the world of gods and the world of people. In temples, nagas are depicted as creatures with a long and strong scaly body and several heads, always an odd number.

They are depicted as snakes with a human torso and a human head, covered on top with a fan of snake heads. They live in caves and ponds, on the ground, in water or underground. The mythology of the “snake man” has ancient roots. Nagas are depicted with the head of a man. Nag is a symbol of wisdom. There is a snake cult and holidays associated with it. It is believed that the naga serpent was the totem of one of the powerful ancient tribes, whose representatives were called nagas. Sage Patanjali is depicted as a naga, the upper half of which has a human form. It is believed that Buddha preached to the nagas. It is stated that the nagas kept the truth secret until people were ripe to understand it. The planets Mahatala and Patala (Nagaloka) are inhabited by Nagas. Kundalini is depicted in the form of a snake, the energy that rises in a person during spiritual practice from the lowest psychophysiological center (chakra) to the highest, where merging with God occurs. Nag Muchalinda protected the Buddha from the scorching sun with his hood during his meditation before enlightenment. Vetch

There are many civilizations living on Earth. The Naga Civilization and the Tree Civilization are the most ancient and numerous inhabitants of the Earth.

I will try to summarize the knowledge about the Nagas that was passed on to me. Like everything in the Universe, Nagas are multidimensional. On Earth there are simultaneously three-, four- and five-dimensional Nagas. There are millions of varieties, and they have the broadest tasks and opportunities on Earth. In a sense, they can be called Masters; they share power with several other civilizations, Trees and Humanoids. Relations between them sometimes lead to conflicts, but in general, balance is maintained. Conventionally, Nagas are considered a destructive civilization, although here everything is very relative. Because without their destructive activity nothing could appear and develop.

Not a single planet on which there is three-dimensional biolife can survive without Nagas. Nagas are so ancient that no one even dares to question their authority in the Universe. Their army is immense and limitless. They are older than Dragons, Dolphins, Dogs and Cats, and all Humanoids. They, of course, have clans, and there are left and right, but still, their entire civilization is quite conservative, integral and powerful.
The memory of all peoples who have lived and are now living on Earth stores fragments of knowledge about the Nagas. As a rule, these are “mighty gods of darkness.” They are feared, they are worshiped, they are killed, but everything grows back for them)
However, these are fairy tales and legends. Where actually are they now, these Nagas?

There are three levels of their coexistence with other civilizations on Earth, including the human one. The first is the physical Nagas. These are representatives of the so-called reptiles, amphibians and some species of fish. These are all kinds of worms, worms, larvae, snakes. They do work that is invisible to humans, but extremely important. They eat everything unnecessary and outdated. Man tends to exaggerate his importance (that’s why he called them “reptiles”), in fact, the worm is more important than man from the point of view of the ecology of the evolution of material life on Earth. Are their activities destructive? Partly, but who else would dispose of billions of tons of crap? Thanks to them.

Nagas will also evolve. Very slowly, very, but like everything else in the Universe, they need an environment to evolve. And they chose meat and humans as the breeding ground for evolution. They love meat very much. And they really love to coexist with humans. Until a certain point in history, Nagas were forbidden to enter into Man; there was a big conflict between Humanoids and Nagas over the possibility of using humans for the purpose of evolving Nagas. The issue was resolved in favor of the Nagas. The story about this is about the Serpent and Eve*. She didn’t eat an apple, she let Naga into her. He entered through that entrance. Since then, the Pure Man has disappeared. Pure Man - this meant without the influence of Nagas.

*D_A: I’m not sure about Eve and the serpent, there are other theories, because in some cultures the serpent is a symbol of knowledge. that is, Eve tasted forbidden knowledge. Also, Adam and Eve exist in multidimensionality, and the connection goes to the Anunnaki.
in addition, by analogy with apples from famous fairy tales, knowledge can turn out to be poison for the unprepared and be planted as part of some kind of revenge. revenge comes from those who hate or dislike a person for their own personal reasons.
in recent sessions we found out that insects and reptiles, among others, are such. Why? because the Creator did not put in them the qualities that were given to us. for example, creativity, abstract thinking, the ability to love, to influence matter. they are trying to acquire these qualities through various types of experiments, to understand why they were not pleased, to return from the technogenic path of development to the spiritual one, because otherwise survival in the long term is impossible.

Astral Nagas are four-dimensional entities that live around us and in the human astral body. Their activities are associated with a manipulative system, with fears of all kinds, with various kinds of distortions, alcohol and drug addictions (green serpent), and aggressive manifestations. In general, Nagas are a super-invasive civilization. Essentially they are invaders, aggressors.

And the fifth level is mental Nagas. This is the Sphere of abstract ideas, they live in egregors, in mental fields, generating various and global forms of destructive concepts. The breeding ground for them here is all human mental excrement.

Even in everyday language, some memory of the Nagas has been preserved. For example, the word “whip”. Or “naked,” that is, naked, like a snake, and this is unclean, indecent). Or “arrogant,” that is, aggressive, like naked. Kipling's work is interesting in this sense. It was he who called them by his name. Rudyard Kipling, the Nobel laureate who lived in England (you know, I consider England the cradle of Knowledge), was an initiated and enlightened man. He very subtly described all the characteristic qualities of Nagas. "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" was my favorite book as a child. He also has wonderful poetry.

From the comments:

The amazing ability of the nagas was their perfect mastery of magic and witchcraft, which from time immemorial were considered black, demonic abilities. Therefore, nagas have always been classified as demons. In numerous legends different nations incredible evidence is provided that the nagas had the gift of werewolf and could change their size and shape - to become either formidable giants, or winged Gorynych Snakes, or ordinary, sometimes very attractive humanoids (like white gods). They could damage the enemy, cause or, conversely, ward off fog, fire, storm and other natural elements. They became invisible, suddenly disappeared and reappeared, moved over vast distances and even passed through solid matter. They could create any illusions. Some nagas also knew how to fly (perhaps they were winged snake people).

The phenomenon of werewolf, incomprehensible to science, apparently means the ability of nagas to completely and instantly “flow” from the physical body into the astral one and immediately restore their physical body. At the same time, they could probably restore damaged cells of the body, thereby ensuring their relative immortality. In addition, plastic astral matter allowed them to build any body, and they were able to reproduce it physically, making all the necessary adjustments at the molecular (genetic) level. Nagas could take on human form and live among people. From the marriages of people and nagas, full-fledged offspring were born. Naginis - Naga women - were famous for their special beauty and attractiveness. If we accept the entirely global esoteric idea of the descent of spirit into matter, such transformations do not seem beyond fantastic. Life is much more fantastic than any human idea of it.

Excerpt from the session:

Q: You wrote down a question - why do you have Kala Sarpa Yoga in your horoscope? What did you do that you received this curse of the nagas?

["Kala" - time, "sarpa" - snake, "yoga" - combination. It means that the soul is in captivity of the Time Serpent due to previous karmic debts. Moreover, all seven planets of the horoscope are located on one side of the lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu - the demons from which all eclipses occur. At the same time, a person constantly faces unusual difficult situations in the first half of his life until he works off karmic debts].

A: This is very ancient, past lives, entered into an unequal battle, there was an encroachment on something too high... I can’t see why they were cursed... But this is both a curse and a rare blessing. If you work this all out correctly, there will be a 360-degree turn, you can turn everything over! but now I am almost forced to make a lot of effort, to fight a lot, without ceasing... The curse was given so that I would not relax, so that I would constantly look for how to overcome, engage in spiritual searches. Otherwise it’s simply impossible. It seems that nothing is working out, but we must try, move on. The lessons are important and difficult, but sooner or later even the frog churned the milk into butter and jumped out of the jar. There is no need to “shoot” anything now, we need to work on it, and everything is now going as it should. Now my task is to reprimand my family, especially those who practiced black magic, to free... I am being guided, pushed towards what needs to be done.

Q: What about birth in “dog degrees”? you were born in the last, seventh, when the final desecration of the Earth by evil took place...

[“Dog degrees” are the days in which the mystery of the primary desecration of our Earth is played out over and over again. According to legend, when Ahriman came to earth, on the first “dog day” he tried to desecrate Fire, but it remained pure, and this element still embodies the Primary Light, irresistible to evil. On the second day, Ahriman broke the primary Sky-Space in half, on the third, he desecrated the Earth and turned it into a desert, on the fourth, he introduced bitterness into the Water, on the fifth, he destroyed the primordial Soma tree, with the help of which people could communicate with the Gods, on the sixth, “dog day" the primeval ox was torn and the animals were desecrated. And in the seventh, according to legend, Evil finally polluted the earth - the First Man fell in an unequal struggle...]

A: She let Evil in through herself. When on the seventh day Man was finally polluted, the Light and Darkness in man became halves, but now Light and Darkness began to separate again... I was somehow involved in this, and therefore I can somehow help cope with this.. I myself I chose this day for my birth - I sat “on a perch” on the other side and waited for the stars to line up just like that. And everything goes as it should. When the time comes, I will find out.

Q: When did this blackout start? Is this the same Kali Yuga or what? Is this the same thing as “Hong Day” and Kali Yuga or what?
A: This is a mirror reflection of what happened already... one, two, three, four cycles like this ago.
Q: How long does one such cycle last?
A: 250 thousand.
Q: That is. a million years ago did you begin to incarnate on Earth?
A: Yes [here I stubbornly began to talk about myself in the third person, although I was conscious, and this surprised me very much, but for some reason I couldn’t say “I”. From that moment on, something incredible happened to the audio recording - it seemed to “curl up”: answers and questions overlapped each other (!) Immediately after the session, I thought that the recording was simply interrupted, but then I discovered that for the entire subsequent time of the session it doubled in time! - our phrases with the presenter overlapped each other, as if everything had exploded and mixed up, just like my brain is now. How this could happen with an audio recording - “an objective source of recording information” is still a mystery to me, probably this is what they call mysticism... I had to ask the presenter for the recording, and he had it in normal form, which is why I can decipher it now ]. And she deliberately chose a more difficult task for herself. And they gave it to her.

Q: What does this mean for her and how can it be used in a positive way?
A: As a simulator for strengthening “spiritual” muscles. The more weight, the more you strengthen. But with this body it’s a little complicated. There is a glitch. I immediately took on too much weight. But it’s hard to break a soul. If it breaks, it will come back together. The body is still too weak for this soul, for this spirit. But little by little we can restore everything and fix it. Anything is possible.

"Word naked in Sanskrit denotes deities or class mythological creatures, taking the form of a snake, mainly a king cobra. Naga, they are reptilians, are mentioned in Hindu, Buddhist texts. It is said that naked live underground."

ABOUT naked There are legends in the folklore of Hindu tribes who still live in South India (Adivasis) and among the Australian aborigines. In these legends, nagas inhabited a large continent that existed somewhere in Pacific Ocean. It sank, and its remains formed the Indonesian archipelago and Australia. The nagas are said to have founded an underground civilization much more technologically advanced than ours, and they are also believed to have superhuman abilities. The Cambodian naga legend says that nagas are reptilian race beings who have a huge empire or kingdom in the Pacific region. Sculptures of the seven-headed snake Naga can be seen in Cambodian temples such as Angkor Wat, perhaps this is the representation of the seven races in Naga society.

Nagas, or so-called "snake people", are mentioned in many Hindu texts. For example, in Bhagavad Gita it is said that Arjuna married the Naga princess Ulupi. There is also a Tamil text, Kanzul Karamat, which describes a Muslim saint who was captured and sent to Kataragama in Sri Lanka to an underground palace where he was given a mysterious robe.

So, the word Naga comes from Sanskrit and still means snake, especially cobra in most Indian languages. When this term appears in Buddhist scriptures, it is not always clear whether it means a cobra, an elephant (perhaps the use of this word is related to its snake-like trunk, or perhaps an association with the thick-skinned inhabitants of the forest regions of northeastern India called Nagas) or the mysterious noble personality.

It is a term used for invisible beings associated with water and fluid energy, as well as individuals with powerful beast-like qualities or an impressive mixture of animal and human qualities.

Reptilians

Reptilians- creatures mentioned in the sources of ancient civilizations. In the Sumerian civilization, reptilians depicted on the walls of temples and cuneiform tablets. Also, figurines depicting reptilian creatures. According to some conspiracy theorists, race reptilians still rules the world. Heirs reptilians occupy the highest positions in the Western elite, as well as in EU countries. U reptilians the gene responsible for compassion has atrophied, like in ordinary people. They are cold-blooded and cruel. Their main goals are to enslave people, so they start world wars to reduce the population of the Earth. The fewer people there are, the easier it is to control them, says the famous British researcher David Icke. David Icke claims that the lair reptilians is located in England, it is from there that total control over the entire world comes and from there orders come.

Nagas - mythology

In myths, legends, scriptures and folklore, the category of nagas includes all types of serpentine creatures. Thus, they in most cases belong to the genus python (despite the fact that naga, as a rule, literally means cobra).

These are the deities of the first ocean and mountain springs; These are also the spirits of the earth and the underworld and, finally, dragons. In Indian mythology Nagas are primarily snake-like creatures that live under the sea. All nagas are considered to be the children of the Rishi or sage, Kashyapa, the son of Marichi.

It is said that Kashyapa had 12 wives, and his offspring included reptiles, birds, and in general all types of living beings. They are the inhabitants of the afterlife city of Bhogavati, whose entrance is believed to be marked by anthills.

The Nagas have the main Vedic god Varuna. The woman of the snake people is called Nagaina.

The king of the nagas is Vasuki. The difference between Varuna and Vasuki is that Varuna may not always be associated with everything that concerns the Nagas. Vasuki is a serpent, but Varuna is not. Vasuki's sister is Manasa Devi. In Tibetan Buddhism Nagas are a class of creatures (often snake-like) that live in the most different places: waterways, underground places, invisible worlds. These beings have their own perceptions and differ in the degree of enlightenment. Naga susceptible to suffering caused by human carelessness and ignorance of proper behavior in the natural world, disrespectful actions towards the environment. Therefore, Nagas often retaliate against people when they behave so ignorantly.

The expression of discontent and unrest of the nagas can manifest itself in skin diseases, various disasters, and so on.

Nagas can bestow various types of wealth: guarantee an abundance of crops, etc., and also deprive them of it. Nagi and water Water symbolizes the primordial Wisdom in psychoanalysis, the warehouse that is the subconscious. However, to paraphrase Sigmund Freud, who commented on the interpretation of symbols in dreams: “Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar,” let’s say that water in Naga lore is just water.

In the Kashmiri language, the word "spring" means Naga and, in fact, Nagas are considered to be the earliest inhabitants of this region. In a sense, this is confirmed by geology, which states that the valley was once a vast body of water, like a huge dam, walled up by high mountains.

The Nilamatapurana records tell how the valley was raised from the water and left under the care of the nagas, of whom Nila, the son of Kashyapa was the chief.

Kashmir named after Kashyapas.

Springs are the main sources of water in Kashmir. Kashmir's famous river Vitasta (Jhelum) originates from a spring near Verinag and supplies water to most of the valley.

The religious significance of the river is noted in the Nilamatapurana (the myth of the Indigo Goddess), where the entire land of Kashmir symbolizes material manifestation Umy and describes her as the divine form of Vitasta.

Many temples were built near the springs in which nagas were worshiped. These places became great centers of religious pilgrimage.

Place names of some areas like Verinag, Anantnag, Seshanag even today remind of the close relationship between the valley and the Naga cult.

Many Kashmiri festivals are held specifically in honor of the Nagas, for example, during the first snowfall, the supreme Naga Nile is worshiped.

They also try to appease the Nagas in April by praising Iramanyari Puja, and in July-August - Varuna Panchmi. Nilamatapurana lists as many as 527 nagas that were worshiped in Kashmir. According to the calculations of Abul Fazal, Akbar's court historian, there were 700 sacred snakes. Purana also indicates the connection of the Naga cult with the cult of Shiva.

In the Mahabharata and Harivansha texts, Shesha was considered the son of Shiva. A lesser connection can be traced with Vishnu.

Balarama, the elder brother of Krishna, is the personification of the serpent Ananta. Nagas in Crimea All peoples have legends about intelligent snake-like creatures: nagas, Anunnaki, dragons, Natami, Lu, Praya Nak or our Serpent Gorynych. But myths, as we know, are not born out of nowhere. Are snake people really a myth? Maybe this is just scary symbolism? Are there any representatives of the Dragon race alive today? Unknown. Official science is silent on this matter. Although there is some evidence of unusual phenomena.

From the depths of the Crimean mountains, for example, an incomprehensible noise of a man-made nature is heard. Researchers have not yet established where the strange sound comes from. More mundane versions were expressed: the roar of the wind, the sound of groundwater. But there are no confirmations yet.

In the same Crimean mountains, underground tunnels were discovered, not scattered, but united into a network. According to some people, they met with those who live in the mountains below ground level. According to the description, these are bipedal, upright lizards, meter tall, with scaly heads with a crest.

Esotericists claim that a large amphibian monster still lives in the Black Sea, and local fishermen who encountered it called the monster Blackie because of its iridescent scales. On the seashore, torn bodies of dolphins are often discovered, on which traces of large teeth are visible.

Nagas - ancestors

What do all these ancient legends about snake people tell us? Why do images of sacred reptiles appear almost at the same time in the cultures of peoples separated by thousands of kilometers, oceans, living on different continents? Ancient Egyptian frescoes, stone steles in Guatemala, China, India, Japan, Africa, Northern Europe- everywhere there are images of lizard people to whom sacrifices are made. There is a scientific opinion that says that long before the appearance of the human race on our planet, the dominant race was the reptilian race.

Russian biologist Anatoly Stegalin put forward a sensational hypothesis that 270 million years ago, when, according to scientists, there was no man yet, a race of highly developed reptile-like creatures lived on Earth. Stegalin suggested that they interfered with human development through genetic engineering, which is why our brains became so developed overnight. An indirect confirmation that humans evolved from reptiles can be the fact that in the first trimester of life, the human embryo resembles a lizard. There are also very ancient drawings depicting two intertwined snakes.

This is exactly how modern scientists depict chains of DNA molecules. Scientists have also found that human genes contain 221 foreign genes, which no other living creature on Earth has. What is this? There are, of course, many hypotheses.
